Internal Kingdom: Breathing a TV Show Into the Brain

Why we built the Internal Kingdom

We wanted a show that feels like meditation without telling you to sit still. Internal Kingdom is our first TV series cinematic journey through the body, guided by Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and powered by parasympathetic breathing. You watch the story, vibe to the music, laugh a little, and without even trying your breath slows down. That’s the point. It’s edutainment with a somatic soundtrack.

While the visuals unfold, I’m breathing long, quiet nasal exhales in the background. That creates a subliminal breath journey your nervous system mirrors what it hears. Justin layers acupuncture wisdom and organ lore so every scene has meaning in the body.

The premise

Two explorers TheBlackAirbender and HappyNeedle9 ride a translucent bubble-bus through the brain’s Du Channel (Governing Vessel) into the Sea of Marrow “where the thousand gods meet.” Think Jimmy-Neutron glow meets Taoist temple light. The environment literally responds to the breath: on the long exhale, the world slows and brightens; on the soft inhale, it gathers and refines.

The secret sauce: breath + beats

Subliminal breath bed: continuous, low-volume nasal exhale rhythm sits under the score. Your body entrains without instruction.
Somatic intent: every cut, pan, and glow is timed to longer exhales. The edit is a nervous-system invitation.

What we want to change

Make TCM feel alive. Not a textbook an experience. We show the Du, Sea of Marrow, and temple metaphors as places you can feel.
Normalize breath-first entertainment. Imagine Netflix that calms you down.
Teach without lecturing. You learn by watching, grooving, and breathing.
